Competition Terms & Conditions

The competition is run on www.bafta.org on behalf of and by British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Entries must be made in accordance with the following competition Terms & Conditions.

Competition Terms & Conditions

  • Entries must be made on the official page on the website via the entry form by the person entering the competition (www.bafta.org/awards/film). Any entries containing false or incomplete information, any multiple entries or any entries made through an automated system will be not be entered or may be disqulaified.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed and multiple entries will result in an entrant being disqualified. Where the winner has been selected and BAFTA discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has made more than one entry, BAFTA reserves the right to select an alternative winner. Any alternative winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and will be subject to these Rules and Terms & Conditions.
  • Entries will be invalid if they are received any later than the specified closing time (which shall be Tuesday 12 February 2008, 12 midnight GMT). Proof of submission of the entry form will not constitute proof of delivery and no responsibility will be accepted for lost, corrupted, delayed or mislaid entries.
  • The competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom. Proof of address will be required for the winning entrant to claim the prize.
  • The competition is only open to people of the age of 18 years or over (on 12.02.2008).
  • Employees of BAFTA Management Limited, the promoters and individuals connected with any company involved in the competition, agents and members of the immediate family of the above people will not be eligible to participate.
  • The winning entry will be decided by an anonymous draw from a pool of all received entries. The draw will be made after the competition closing date by members of BAFTA staff (the Judges).
  • The prize will be presented to the winning entrant at the Academy Headquarters in Piccadilly, London. Alternatively, the prize will be posted on receipt of valid proof of identity and entrant photograph.
  • There will be no cash or other alternative to the prize offered and the prize is not transferable. The prize cannot be sold or marketed as a BAFTA product.
  • By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. BAFTA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these Terms & Conditions.
  • BAFTA will not be liable for any circumstances beyond its reasonable control that prevent the competition being fulfilled, a winner being chosen, or the prize being taken up or fully enjoyed by the winner. In the event of any error, whether printing, technological or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the Judges reserve the right to administer the competition as though the error had not occurred.
  • If, in the opinion of the Judges, entries have been made unfairly they can declare any entries or votes invalid, void the competition, change the competition instructions, or adjust the entries or the voting to achieve fairness, as they think fit. In the event of any dispute regarding the competition Terms & Conditions and Result, the decision of BAFTA shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  • BAFTA reserves the right to publish the name of the winning entrant and the winning entrant is required to give their full co-operation to all requests by BAFTA in connection with publicity for the competition, their entry, the prize or otherwise.
  • Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.

Bebo Entries

  • Entries may also be made via the BAFTA Bebo page (www.bebo.com/bafta). Only one entry per person is allowed and the same Terms and Conditions apply. The entries will be added to the pool of entries entered via the BAFTA website.
  • The competition is only open to people of the age of 18 years or over (on 12.02.2008).
